| My name is Colin Cooter and I am the skipper /owner of the Emma Jayne.
I have been fishing from the port of Selsey since I was 12 and was brought up with the local fishermen from whom I learnt my trade.

| When I was 18 I brought my first big boat and finally worked my way up to my life’s ambition in December 2003 when I had the Emma Jayne, a Kingfisher 26 built and launched. |
| In 2004 I decided to give up lobster fishing, as I could see an opening in taking out anglers for fishing trips and I am now the only professional commercially endorsed boat working from the port of Selsey. |
| In 2008 I moved on again and now have a Kingfisher fast catch 31; this new boat is more angling friendly as it now offers more speed and comfort. |
| Selsey has good fishing and within about an hour from getting on the boat we can be catching conger eels weighing in at over one hundred pounds. |
We catch most species of fish at Selsey including Skate, Bass, and Bream which are among the most common in our waters.
For 2009 we are moving on again and the Emma Jayne is now set up for dive trips. |
